Echoes: Shadow Ball Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the mobile game for iOS and Android Echoes: Shadow Ball (“the game”) uses and why. The game is made by Oshtur Games, a brand of Oshtur (“we”, “us”). Oshtur is not a registered company yet; it is run by Bilal Demir, who publishes the games in the app stores. Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- There is no account and no sign-in. We don't ask for your name, email or any contact details.
- Your progress and settings are saved on your device. If you use Google Play Games or iCloud, a copy of your progress is kept there so it follows you to your other devices. We don't run servers that receive any of it.
- The game shows ads through Google AdMob. Google collects some device information to show and measure those ads.
Information stored on your device
The game saves the following on your device so you can pick up where you left off: levels completed, sparks collected, number of lives and when the next one returns, death count, and your settings (music and sound volume, vibration, button size and opacity, notifications). Lives and settings never leave your device; your progress is copied only to your own cloud save, described below. None of it is sent to us.
Cloud save
If you're signed in to Google Play Games (Android) or iCloud (iOS), the game also keeps a copy of your progress there, so you can continue on another phone or tablet. Lives and settings are not included. This copy is stored by Google or Apple in your own account under their privacy policies; we can't see it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the game sets a reminder on your device for when your lives are full again. The reminder is scheduled locally; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. You can turn it off in the game's settings or in your phone's notification settings.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and is paid for by ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC and, in the EEA and the UK, Google Ireland Limited. From time to time an ad is shown between levels, and you can choose to watch an ad to get an extra life.
To show ads, limit how often you see them, prevent fraud and measure results, Google may collect:
- your device's advertising identifier: the Google advertising ID on Android, or on iOS the IDFA, only if you allow tracking,
- your IP address and an approximate location derived from it,
- device and operating system information (model, language, screen size),
- how you interact with the ads (views, clicks), and ad-related diagnostics.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the game asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown. If you don't consent, you may still see non-personalized ads. On iOS, the game asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency before the IDFA can be used; if you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, you will still see ads, just not personalized ones.
You can change these choices at any time in your device settings:
- Android: Settings › Google › Ads (or Settings › Privacy › Ads, depending on your device) to reset or delete your advertising ID.
- iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising.
Purchases
The game has no in-app purchases and does not handle any payment information.
Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, contact us and we will help.
Deleting your data
- Settings › Reset progress deletes your progress from the device.
- Uninstalling the game deletes everything it stored on your device.
- Cloud saves: on Android, delete the game's data in the Google Play Games app (Profile › Settings); on iOS, in Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage.
- Advertising data is held by Google; use the device ad settings above or Google's privacy tools.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because the game keeps your data only on your device, most of these requests are handled by the steps above. For anything else, write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the game's App Store and Google Play listings.
